I grew up in a small town in N.B. and a fellow ordered a 1966 white Pontiac Strato Chief 396-325 4 speed I loved it ! It was a local legend.. The town and area was Ford Country...
I moved to Ontario and in 2005 a friend I went to school with, e-mailed me, and pointed out a white 2 door was for sale in Moncton N.B. I flew down and saw it in March 2006 flew back down and bought it and drove it home.
I added a 4 speed Munice (car was raced with auto i it) recovered theseats and re-chromed the bumpers...
car became a Canadian Poncho icon lol
I sold car to member GTOJoe Joe Taylor of Canninton ont
He has 12 B-body Pontiacs and 10 GTO's (65 CS 409 4 speed conv)
Legend is an understatement. I once pulled out onto HWY. #6 behind the Chief. Carl seemed to have some problems with traction that day and the car laid rubber for over 200 feet creating a cloud of smoke that made it impossible to see the road. As I rolled through the smoke the Chief was just a speck far far ahead of me.
That last picture was taken by me and I was priviledged that day to be able to park my LeMans beside the legend. It made the LeMans run better.

It must have been hard to part with. When I first met you and the 427 at Plunkits a couple years ago ,I must have looked at the car 20 times. I hope the new owner drives it and lets it go once in awile.I love the smell of burning rubber first thing in the morning.
