i just got my hands on a beautiful 66 Parisienne 4 dour restoration project that needs a lot of repair, so i'm looking for the right parts to fix it. I attached a picture of it below.
Technically it seems to be in an alright condition, as the 350 engine runs great and the auto transmission shifts smoothly but the body is awfully rusty.
Especially the chassis frame and underfloor pan are rusted to near breakthrough and so my first priority is to replace them, before even considering any other repairs.
I already learned that the Parisienne is built on a fullsize Chevy chassis. But i still wonder which bodyparts exactly are from Chevy (and from what Chevy model) and which parts are from fullsize Pontiacs.
For example i found this complete floor pan assembly for a 65-70 Chevy Impala / Caprice / Bel Air:
but before ordering it, i'd like to make sure it will fit my Parisienne. As i live in Europe, it is not so easy to exchange non fitting parts once they have been shipped over here from the states.
Also if you can suggest me a good address that sells Parisienne parts, that would be highly appreciated. Even if they don't ship to Europe, i could organize the transport myself.
The sheet metal is completely GM Canada specifc to Pontiac so really the only parts interchangability is chassis and drive line.
You have no choice since no Parisienne parts are reproduced so the Chevrolet equivilent is the best you can do. Ebay is a good source for NOS parts that come up from time to time but Canadioan Pontiac pieces can get expensive in auctions.
