Jan. 11 ,spring like day I took the bubbletop out for it's maiden run with new motor.It ran good but may need some tuning on carb.I could get used to days like these. Heres a picture and I found an offset bracket to mount brake booster.
Excellent news. Those W series big blocks look awesome. You nailed the "as factory installed" look. How does she sound and what exhaust sytem are you using ? What sort of Carb is on it?
I'm running flowmaster mufflers and sounds ok, with a mild cam.Right now i'm using an early 4GC carb probably came off a 283.It was rebuilt and cheap and runs .I have a mid 60s 4GC which is larger.I'm going to try it before spring and hopeing it has a little better accelaration. I know it won't go like the 327 and idle like it as I had installed a lumpy cam . I like the look of the 348 and if I can cruise at 70-75 mph in the states i'll be happy.
